Hostels
The Croatian Youth Hostel Association (YHA, Tel 01-48 47 472) is
based in Zagreb. The association provides discounted accommodation
for members.
Hotels
Most major cities in Croatia have at least one grand hotel, however
the majority of hotels are along the coast and are the remnants
of the 70's and 80`s when the state owned all hotels. This means
that many of them are the same and if it's something a little different
you look for then you will need to look for private accommodations.
This is beginning to change as tourism picks up again and companies
are building new hotels as well as small, family owned establishments.
Croatian
hotels are graded on a star system, one star being a simple hostel
and 5 stars being something grande. Most hotels offer bed and breakfast
and a half board option. |
